On March 27, during Shanghai Fashion Week, the "Book of Nature 2026 Circular Transition Forum," initiated by the xFuture ESG & Sustainable Marketing Consulting, was held as sheduled. The forum brought together YICAI Foundation，Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and industry leaders and experts from circular technology, material innovation, and fashion retail to explore low-carbon circular solutions for the fashion industry. Coco Tao, marketing director of Exponent Envirotech, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled "From Indigo Recovery to a Circular Future: How Technology Saves Color," clearly demonstrating the exceptional environmental benefits and economic returns of the indigo recovery system.

With an annual global indigo demand of approximately 80,000 tons, 10% to 20% of which is lost during the washing process, the denim industry has long faced the dual pressure of resource waste and environmental pollution. Developed independently by Exponent Envirotech, the Indigo Recovery System leverages core technologies such as membrane separation and digital monitoring to achieve over 95% recovery of both indigo and water, efficiently reclaiming the "blue gold" from traditional dyeing wastewater and transforming it into a production resource.

Coco Tao noted that the key to driving circular transition lies in making circular practices commercially competitive. The system's unique advantages—high cost-effectiveness, rapid deployment, and short payback period—are turning environmental investment into tangible cost-saving and efficiency-boosting benefits. A single unit can recover 3 tons of indigo and 12,000 cubic meters of water annually. It has been successfully applied at well-known denim companies such as Advanced Denim and Xindadong Textile, with real-world data confirming its stability and economic viability.
