On March 22, 2025, coinciding with the 33rd World Water Day and global attention on water resource conservation, Exponent Envirotech held a ceremony infused with technological vision and mission as it officially Launched the Water Environment Technology R&D Center. Covering nearly 1,000 square meters, this new facility represents a significant milestone for Exponent Envirotech in textile water management and will help the industry advance toward sustainable development.

At the ceremony, Edgar Tung, CEO of Tessellation Group (the parent company of Exponent Envirotech), Luo Xiaolai, Chief Technology Officer of Tessellation Group, and Xiao Feng, Vice President of qonvolv Innovation of Tessellation Group and General Manager of Exponent Envirotech, shared their thoughts on the mission and vision of the R&D Center. They discussed the center's role in strategic planning, technological innovation, and commercial applications.

The Water Environment Technology R&D Center features nearly 1,000 square meters of space and includes seven specialized laboratories that cover nearly all processes of R&D, such as membrane fabrication, chemical analysis, membrane performance testing, application research, and pilot-scale wastewater treatment. The center is staffed by a high-level research team of over ten individuals with doctoral and master's degrees, equipped with state-of-the-art R&D, testing, and characterization technology from both domestic and international sources.

The R&D Center has two primary missions: First, to serve as a circular engine for resources, transforming dyeing wastewater from a cost burden into a source of value through leading-edge technologies like salt recovery and indigo recovery, enabling textile companies to achieve both economic and ecological benefits. Second, to act as a green beacon for the industry, guiding sustainable development through continuous technology upgrades, process innovations, and equipment improvements.

The theme of World Water Day aligns perfectly with our strategic vision — meeting environmental challenges in the fashion industry through sustainable technology innovations. This unveiling not only signifies the implementation of comprehensive water management strategies but also charts a coordinated path for technological innovation and industrial upgrades, integrating green principles throughout the textile supply chain. As industrial blue and ecological green harmonize through technology, Exponent Envirotech is redefining the symbiosis between industry and ecology with precision environmental technologies.
