In February 2025, Exponent Envirotech signed a cooperation agreement with Xindadong Textile, focused on deep collaboration around the Indigo Recovery System.
From the Greater Bay Area to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the implementation of Exponent's Indigo Recovery System in leading denim enterprises demonstrates the driving force of green technology in industrial upgrading. For Xindadong Textile, the system is expected to achieve resource recovery on a scale of tens of thousands of tons annually, directly translating into optimized production costs and enhanced environmental competitiveness. For the denim industry, this acts as a model for leading enterprises, promoting the penetration of green production models throughout the supply chain. As dyeing wastewater transforms from a cost item to a source of value, the path toward sustainable development in the denim industry becomes clearer.
Xindadong Textile has been a leader in the denim industry for 27 years, specializing in high-quality denim fabric development and innovation. With a complete production and development system, the company produces 30 million yards of denim annually and ranks among the top ten in China. Since its establishment in 1998, Xindadong has adhered to the principles of "environmental protection, win-win cooperation, and integrity" ,integrating green practices throughout the product lifecycle. It is recognized as a national-level green factory and a high-tech enterprise, with products exported to Europe, America, and Southeast Asia, serving globally renowned brands like LEE, AEO, and C&A, while setting industry benchmarks in quality and environmental standards.

The Indigo Recovery System utilizes membrane separation technology and online indigo concentration detection devices to recycle over 95% of indigo and water from dyeing wastewater. Once operational, it is projected to recover approximately 24,000 cubic meters of water and 7 tons of indigo for Xindadong Textile annually, simultaneously reducing COD levels in wastewater. The concentration detection device ensures real-time monitoring of indigo levels, minimizing raw material loss and maintaining consistent dyeing quality, thus providing robust support for high-end denim production.
This cooperation arises from our ongoing focus on addressing industry pain points. Since the initiation of the Indigo Recovery Technology project in March 2023, our team has successfully overcome critical technological challenges, such as membrane material selection and online concentration detection, and obtained core patent authorization in June of the same year. In June 2024, the Indigo Recovery System was successfully debugged and began stable operation at the client's site. Recently, it has been included in the 18th Edition of China's Recommended List of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Technologies for the Printing and Dyeing Sector. The technology has also attracted interest from overseas companies in Vietnam, India, and Pakistan, laying the groundwork for global application.
Currently, Exponent Envirotech is accelerating the development of new technologies related to denim dyeing, aiming to build a green development system in the industry through a dual approach of process innovation and equipment upgrades.
